4 Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. CogitaVerse uses cookies to keep you logged in, remember your quiz progress, and understand how visitors use the site. Here is a summary:
| Cookie type | Purpose | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Login sessions, security, saving quiz state | WordPress session cookies |
| Functional | Remembering preferences and progress | Course/quiz progress cookies |

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling essential cookies may prevent you from logging in or attempting quizzes on CogitaVerse Academy.
5 Google AdSense & Advertising
CogitaVerse uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Advertising revenue is what allows us to offer thousands of pages of notes, solved questions, and MCQs to aspirants free of charge. In line with Google's requirements, please note the following:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites on the internet.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to CogitaVerse and/or other sites.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- Alternatively, you can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
- Ad partners other than Google, if any, will only be used in compliance with applicable ad network policies; their cookies may also appear on your device when ads are served.
6 Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use CogitaVerse — for example, which exam-preparation topics are most read and which quizzes are most attempted. Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. IP addresses are processed by Google in accordance with its own privacy policy. You can prevent analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
7 Third-Party Links & Embedded Content
Articles and lessons on CogitaVerse may include embedded content such as YouTube videos, Google Forms, or links to official exam bodies (FPSC, PPSC, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if you had visited that website directly — those sites may collect data about you, use their own cookies, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external websites. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit through our links.
8 Student Accounts, Quizzes & Certificates
When you register on CogitaVerse Academy, we store your profile details, enrolled courses, quiz attempts, scores, earned badges, and certificates. This data is used to:
- Show your progress and results on your dashboard;
- Generate verifiable certificates upon course completion;
- Rank performance on leaderboards where applicable (only your display name is shown publicly).
If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled by our payment providers; CogitaVerse does not store your full card or bank details on its servers.
9 Data Security & Retention
Your data is stored on secure, industry-standard hosting with SSL encryption (HTTPS) applied across the entire website. We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards — restricted admin access, regular software updates, and spam/malware protection — to protect your information.
We retain account data for as long as your account remains active. Quiz history and certificates are kept so your achievements remain verifiable. If you delete your account or request erasure, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where a legal obligation requires longer retention.
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; while we work hard to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10 Children's Privacy
CogitaVerse content is designed for competitive-exam aspirants and college-level students.
