⚖️ عدل و انصاف
سیرتِ طیبہ کا ایک نمایاں پہلو عدل و انصاف ہے جو بلا امتیاز رنگ، نسل اور سماجی حیثیت کے نافذ العمل تھا۔ تاریخِ اسلام کا یہ واقعہ انتہائی اہمیت کا حامل ہے جب قبیلہ بنو مخزوم کی ایک عورت، فاطمہ، چوری کے جرم میں پکڑی گئی ۔ اس موقع پر قریش نے اپنی خاندانی وجاہت بچانے کے لیے رسول اللہ ﷺ کے چہیتے صحابی حضرت اسامہ بن زید کو سفارش کے لیے بھیجا ۔ آپ ﷺ نے اس سفارش کو سختی سے رد کرتے ہوئے عدل کا وہ اعلیٰ معیار قائم کیا جو رہتی دنیا تک مثال رہے گا ۔ آپ ﷺ حرم میں داخل ہونے والے پہلے شخص تھے ، جنہیں دیکھ کر تمام قبائل نے بیک زبان پکارا:
“هذا محمد هذا الامين قدر فینا به”
ترجمہ: “یہ محمد ہیں، یہ امین ہیں، ہم ان کے فیصلے پر خوش ہیں “
یہ واقعہ ثابت کرتا ہے کہ اعلانِ نبوت سے قبل بھی آپ ﷺ کی شخصیت بطور حاکم اور منصف مسلمہ تھی ۔
🕊️ سچائی اور دیانتداری
آپ ﷺ کی زندگی صداقت اور امانت کا وہ روشن باب ہے جس کا اعتراف نہ صرف اپنوں نے بلکہ جانی دشمنوں نے بھی کیا ۔ آپ ﷺ مکہ میں “صادق” اور “امین” کے لقب سے مشہور تھے ۔ اسلام کے سخت ترین دشمن ابو جہل نے بھی ایک موقع پر اعتراف کیا کہ وہ آپ ﷺ کو جھوٹا نہیں سمجھتا ۔ اس کا کہنا تھا کہ:
“اے محمد! میں تمھیں جھوٹا نہیں کہتا، البتہ جو دعوت تم پیش کرتے ہو، میں اسے صحیح نہیں سمجھتا” ۔
یہ اس بات کی دلیل ہے کہ آپ ﷺ کا کردار ہر قسم کے شک و شبہ سے بالاتر تھا اور کفارِ مکہ آپ کی دیانتداری پر مکمل اعتماد رکھتے تھے، اسی لیے اپنی امانتیں آپ ﷺ کے پاس ہی رکھوایا کرتے تھے ۔
❤️ شفقت و رحمت
آپ ﷺ کی ذاتِ مبارکہ پوری انسانیت اور کائنات کے لیے سراپا رحمت ہے ۔ قرآنِ مجید نے اس حقیقت پر مہرِ تصدیق ثبت کرتے ہوئے ارشاد فرمایا:
وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلَّا رَحْمَةً لِلْعَالَمِينَ
ترجمہ: “اور ہم نے آپ کو تمام جہانوں کے لیے رحمت بنا کر بھیجا”
آپ ﷺ کی شفقت صرف مسلمانوں تک محدود نہ تھی بلکہ چرند، پرند، دشمن اور دوست سب اس سے مستفیض ہوئے ۔ آپ ﷺ نے انسانیت کو وہ حقوق عطا کیے جن سے وہ صدیوں سے محروم تھی اور معاشرے کے پسے ہوئے طبقات کو سینے سے لگایا۔
💰 سخاوت و فیاضی
سخاوت آپ ﷺ کی جبلت میں شامل تھی ۔ حضرت عبداللہ بن عباسؓ روایت کرتے ہیں کہ آپ ﷺ خیر کے معاملے میں چلنے والی تیز ہوا سے بھی زیادہ سخی تھے ۔ غزوہ حنین کے موقع پر حاصل ہونے والے مالِ غنیمت کی تقسیم آپ ﷺ کی فیاضی کی عظیم مثال ہے، جہاں 24 ہزار اونٹ اور 40 ہزار اوقیہ چاندی تقسیم فرما دی گئی ۔ حضرت عائشہؓ سے مروی ہے کہ آپ ﷺ نے اپنی وفات کے وقت ورثے میں نہ کوئی سونا چاندی چھوڑا اور نہ ہی کوئی اونٹ یا کسی چیز کی وصیت فرمائی ۔ حضرت ابوہریرہؓ سے روایت ہے کہ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا:
“جو مسلمان قرض چھوڑ کر مرے گا میں اسے ادا کروں گا اور جو مسلمان ورثہ چھوڑ کر مرے گا اسے اس کے وارث سنبھالیں گے” ۔
یہ حدیث آپ ﷺ کی امت پر شفقت اور انتہا درجے کی سخاوت کا ثبوت ہے کہ آپ ﷺ نے قرض داروں کی ذمہ داری بھی خود لی۔
🌿 سادگی اور تواضع
آپ ﷺ کی زندگی صفائی، سادگی اور تواضع کا بہترین نمونہ تھی ۔ کائنات کا رہبر ہونے کے باوجود آپ ﷺ اپنے ذاتی کام کاج خود انجام دیتے تھے اور مہمان نوازی میں پیش پیش رہتے تھے ۔ حضرت انسؓ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ آپ ﷺ نے جب حج فرمایا تو آپ ﷺ کے جسم مبارک پر موجود چادر کی قیمت چار درہم سے زیادہ نہ تھی ۔ اسی طرح عدی بن حاتم، جو ایک عیسائی سردار تھے، جب آپ ﷺ کے گھر آئے تو آپ ﷺ نے انہیں چمڑے کا ایک ہی تکیہ پیش کیا اور ان کے اصرار کے باوجود خود زمین پر تشریف فرما ہوئے ۔ آپ ﷺ کے اس اخلاق اور تواضع سے متاثر ہو کر عدی بن حاتم نے اسلام قبول کر لیا ۔

⚖️ Justice & Fairness
A prominent aspect of the Noble Seerah is justice and fairness, which was enforced without discrimination of color, race, or social status. An event of great significance in Islamic history occurred when a woman from the Banu Makhzum tribe, named Fatimah, was caught stealing. On this occasion, the Quraysh, wishing to preserve their family prestige, sent the beloved companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, Usamah bin Zaid, to intercede. The Prophet ﷺ firmly rejected this intercession and established such a high standard of justice that will remain an example forever. The Prophet ﷺ was the first person to enter the sanctuary, upon seeing whom all the tribes called out unanimously:
“Hadha Muhammad, hadha al-Ameen, qadr fina bihi”
Translation: “This is Muhammad, this is the Trustworthy, we are pleased with his judgment.”
This event proves that even before the proclamation of prophethood, the Prophet’s ﷺ personality as a ruler and judge was universally acknowledged.
🕊️ Truth & Honesty
The life of the Prophet ﷺ is a bright chapter of truthfulness and trustworthiness, acknowledged not only by his followers but also by his bitter enemies. The Prophet ﷺ was known in Makkah by the titles “Sadiq” (Truthful) and “Amin” (Trustworthy). Even Abu Jahl, the harshest enemy of Islam, once admitted that he did not consider the Prophet ﷺ a liar. He said:
“O Muhammad! I do not call you a liar, but I do not consider the message you bring to be correct.”
This is evidence that the Prophet’s ﷺ character was beyond any doubt or suspicion, and the disbelievers of Makkah had complete trust in his honesty, which is why they used to entrust their valuables with him.
❤️ Compassion & Mercy
The blessed being of the Prophet ﷺ is pure mercy for all humanity and the universe. The Holy Qur’an has affirmed this reality by stating:
“Wa ma arsalnaka illa rahmatal lil ‘alameen”
Translation: “And We have not sent you except as a mercy to the worlds.”
The Prophet’s ﷺ compassion was not limited to Muslims alone, but birds, animals, enemies, and friends all benefited from it. The Prophet ﷺ granted humanity those rights of which they had been deprived for centuries and embraced the oppressed classes of society.
💰 Generosity & Magnanimity
Generosity was ingrained in the Prophet’s ﷺ nature. Abdullah bin Abbas (RA) narrates that the Prophet ﷺ was more generous in doing good than the fast-blowing wind. The distribution of war booty obtained during the Battle of Hunain is a great example of his magnanimity, where 24,000 camels and 40,000 uqiyah of silver were distributed. Aisha (RA) narrated that at the time of his death, the Prophet ﷺ left neither gold nor silver as inheritance, nor did he bequeath any camel or anything else. Abu Hurairah (RA) narrates that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever among Muslims dies leaving a debt, I will pay it, and whoever leaves behind wealth, it will go to his heirs.”
This hadith is proof of the Prophet’s ﷺ compassion for his nation and his extreme generosity, as he also took responsibility for the debtors himself.
🌿 Simplicity & Humility
The life of the Prophet ﷺ was the best example of cleanliness, simplicity, and humility. Despite being the leader of the universe, the Prophet ﷺ used to do his personal work himself and was at the forefront of hospitality. Anas (RA) narrates that when the Prophet ﷺ performed Hajj, the cloak on his blessed body was not worth more than four dirhams. Similarly, Adi bin Hatim, who was a Christian chief, when he came to the Prophet’s ﷺ house, the Prophet ﷺ offered him a single leather cushion, and despite his insistence, the Prophet ﷺ himself sat on the ground. Adi bin Hatim was so impressed by this character and humility of the Prophet ﷺ that he accepted Islam.
